|Dysautonomia International is seeking volunteers to help with the 2014 Dysautonomia International Conference & Lobby Day, being held July 11th-14th, 2014 near Washington, D.C. Dysautonomia International is an all-volunteer non-profit organization; we depend on volunteers to make our programs successful. Please let us know if you are interested in volunteering for any of the following committees. Many projects can be done from home so your help is welcome even if you can't make it to the conference.
You can participate on the Sponsorship Committee even if you cannot attend the conference. Sponsorship Committee volunteers will reach out to individuals and businesses that may be interested in becoming sponsors of the conference. Volunteers will be provided with sample letters and information they will need to share with potential sponsors. To volunteer for the Sponsorhip Committee, please contact Jennifer Samghabadi at email@example.com.
Journal Ad Committee
A commemorative journal will be distributed to the 400 guests expected to attend the 2014 conference, and will be posted on the website afterwards. We need volunteers to help sell full page, half page and quarter page ads in the journal, as well as 100 character Shout Out! messages. Journal ads and Shout Out! messages are a great way for individuals, businesses and family members to show support for Dysautonomia International's work, or to share a message of hope with friends and family members. Please contact Crista Procopio at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to help us sell journal ads and Shout Out! messages.
Charity Auction Committee
Dysautonomia International will host a Silent Auction to be held during the conference. The theme of this year's auction is regional gift baskets. If you can help us collect gift baskets filled with products from different regions in the US or overseas, please contact Teressa Wright at email@example.com.
Lobby Day Committee
Your help on the Lobby Day Committee is needed even if you can't attend the conference. The Lobby Day Committee will arrange meetings with key House Members and Senators and with relevant federal agencies. They will prepare materials needed by Lobby Day attendees and may be asked to serve as group leaders in the small meeting groups. To volunteer for the Lobby Day Committee, please contact Cathy Morrison firstname.lastname@example.org.
Host Committee volunteers should plan to attend the conference. The Host Committee will coordinate hotel and catering logistics, social activities during the conference including the Awards Dinner and staff the conference registration desk. To volunteer for the Host Committee, please contact Ellen Kessler at email@example.com.
The Tech Committee will coordinate audio/visual services during the conference, live blog and tweet from the conference, compile photos and video from the conference, and convert recorded lectures into videos to be distributed after the conference ends. To volunteer for the Tech Committee please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
